From one retreat to another
We're just wrapping up our ILIP writing and publishing retreat at New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
The hot, sunny weather, tempered with an ocean breeze, is relaxing and inspirational. We have new ideas, clarity of thought, and a couple of over-the-top dreams to keep us going in writing and publishing books, articles, short stories, and newsletters for our business. (www.ili.cc)
Now we're getting ready for another beach retreat, this one further south in Melbourne Beach. The focus moves from writing and publishing to bigger considerations--where do we see ourselves personally in the next 5 years?
We'll spend 4 beachside days enjoying the waves and the sky while we sample various scenarios for our lives. Of course, we know that we can't really see into the future, so whatever we decide to do may not happen exactly as we imagine. But we've found over our lifetimes that goals are a wonderful way to help us make decisions, and big goals spur us on to do things we never knew we could do.
So... Melbourne Beach, here we come.
