Harvest Moon tonight

Tonight and tomorrow night, the Northern Hemisphere will have an "early" harvest moon (early because the equinox is still 10 days away).

Here's a Wikipedia definition of a harvest moon; you can click the blue links for more information:

"A harvest moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, characterized by its orange color."

As it happens, today is also Friday the 13th, which is a date with superstitions surrounding it.  Also from Wikipedia:

"The irrational fear of the number 13 has been given a scientific name: "triskaidekaphobia"; and on analogy to this the fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskevidekatriaphobia, from the Greek words Paraskeví (Παρασκευή, meaning "Friday"), and dekatreís (δεκατρείς, meaning "thirteen").https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_the_13th

For me, this day is simply Friday, a day when I don't have to go to work. A harvest moon is orange, which is one of my three favorite colors (orange, green, and purple). And here in Central Florida as we approach Autumn, we now have a faint breeze in the morning and the humidity has gone from the 80s to the high 50s.

So all in all, it's a great day by my reckoning!
