This Lake Placid garage holds the secret to making world-class luge sleds

"Now Kennedy makes sleds or sled parts for Sweden, for Czech Republic, for Chinese Taipei - eight countries in all.

And he’s drawn on North Country expertise. He partnered with researchers at Clarkson University in Potsdam to make the sleds more aerodynamic. He gets manufacturing help from Placid Boatworks, which makes ultralight canoes and kayaks."
